Silkspan is a light, thin paper with a loose and random weave. It is much stronger than tissue, and is less expensive and easier to work with compared to silk. Silkspan’s long grain weave provides wet-strength (This silkspan will not fall apart if applied wet). Silkspan is a good covering choice for lightweight airplanes.
