Description
The Bell UH-1 Iroquois helicopter is commonly known as the Huey. It is a multi-purpose military helicopter developed by the U.S. Army Aviation Corps in 1955 based on the Bell-204 helicopter. In the early days, the military numbered it HU-1. It was first used for military missions in 1959. Since 1962, all production models have been uniformly renamed the UH-1 series. After modernization, the UH-1 family has continued to be produced until 1976, with a total production of more than 16,000 units, of which about 7,000 participated in the Vietnam War, which made the Huey famous.
